The North Star of Catholicism
I'm wondering how you sustain it. I deeply, deeply sustained by the mystical elements of Catholicism and this sort of direct experience of God. And just reading his letters as a bishop, what he wrote about was clemency to Roman authorities for condemned and convicted criminals. This has been a beacon for me, a north star. You know, this idea of public mercy, of mercy as a matter of public policy,. That has been a great north star of mine.
