The Utilitarian Argument for Justice and Morality
Plato: If injustice is the thing that gets you what you want, you should just do it and then buy the gods off with sacrifice later. And this is now the strongest version of this pro injustice argument; if nobody's looking and there are no punishments, right? Why wouldn't you just do what you want and get what you want,. no matter what the cost rat the great thing about this is that every utilitarian and evolutionary argument for justice and morality ultimately boils down to this. This is plato really pushing up against the limits of what we can intuit without the revelation of judeo christian scripture.
