The Importance of Labor Acknowledgements

TJ: What I'm sitting with is the fact that this is an urgent now thing. A lot of times when we think about, you know, the, the labor I'm going to start saying commitment because I really appreciate that language and I think it's more valuable for lack of a better word than land acknowledgments. Black graduate students are also pulled to do, um, hidden but expected labor, right, or black administrators, the ways that Zorna Harrison calls where the fuels of the world,. particularly black women expected to do thishidden but expected labor. That's that's what comes up in my realm around labor acknowledgment and more thoughtfully around labor.
