The conventional view of America's war in Vietnam is that the whole thing was a vast tragedy caused by bungling, immorality, and bungling immorality. While no one will argue that America's efforts there ended well, there is a growing tradition of so-called revisionist scholarship on the events of the mid-50s through mid-70s in Southeast Asia. We'll talk to historian Mark Moyer about what the conventional account of the Vietnam War gets wrong.
