I've sort of sympathetic to both these characters and you root for them in a sort of, you know, Bonnie and Clyde, and Louise kind of way. But I also love your regicide hunter too, Richard Naylor. It was very interesting creating this character, which is where the book really started. And it enabled me to tell the story of the Civil War in a neutral way without taking a particular side. The death warrant was kept by the man to whom Cromwell gave it, Colonel Hacker,. who kept it in his country house in Leicestershire.
