What's the Best Thing About Rousseau?
Rousseau wrote the most widely read and highest-selling novel of the 18th century. The Confessions is his best known, but then he has one called Rousseau Judge of Jean-Jacques. And forgetting, he wrote three autobiographical works. He's written on everything from botany to musical notation. His final work, which is one of my most favorites, is an auto-didies - it's a bit of a fabulous story.
