The History of St. Peter's Basilica

The Domus Oreo was buried during the Renaissance. It's kind of like Pompeii, to that extent, where all these fantastic paintings were preserved because it was buried. The other place I'd recommend, this gets a few more visitors, is St. Paul's outside the wall. If you go there today, it's going to look like a brand new church almost.
