Introduction

This chapter focuses on the ongoing war in Sudan, which has led to a significant displacement of civilians and numerous casualties. The conflict involves the Sudanese army and the rapid support forces, who were once allies but have now turned against the transition government. Ethnic tensions are also prevalent, with Arab militias aligned with the RSF engaging in ethnic cleansing and mass killings against African ethnic groups, primarily in Darfur.
