Arms Control in the Soviet Union

When ronald regan came in 19 81, he wanted to negotiate arms control. The soviet union leadership were absolutely against any form of onsight inspections. This was also ta time when the us. and suet union did not agree on a more intrusiveverification measures for arms control. So we shouldn't think that the americans were somehow inspired by great ideas. And ah, it became a new way of thinking about arms control,. wherea, the suat unit was finally ok with having onsight Inspections. On the american side, ronald Regan had this new idea, which was almost antite, antithetical to almost any nuclear arms control theory
