i want to trouble people's intuition that genetic difference is always allied with superiority or inferiority. i think we need to leave room in our education models for giftedness to developin a result of something where they didn't have the inborn proclivities, but they still got there at some point. I was really struck by how similar to some of the content and themes were in a very different domain of human skill. We certainly overlook some gifts in terms of their talents, and, you know, kind of overly fetishise other gifts as well. And i think part of acquiring this type of skill, is like plasticity and agency in acquiring it. So i had two thoughts
