The means of establishing authority, I think, are very different where you kind of have to go off of experience and work done. And it's becoming increasingly so that if you are actually an expert, you're actually more valuable. You can be totally uncredentialed. Like, I mean, you don't have a degree in marketing, but not at all.

Some of it’s come true, some of it is yet to come, but no book has made either of us think so much about how technology might destroy what we think of as citizenship, work, travel, community, and life.
