The Importance of David Bowie

David Bowie was even worse than Noel Gallagher because at least Noel doesn't hype himself up as some kind of genius for ripping off the Rolling Stones. Bowie wasn't just stealing songs or like album cover artists or just ideas. He was taking entire identities. Nothing he ever did was original or even trying to be original. Even that lightning bolt that everyone considers to be synonymous with David Bowie directly lifted from Elvis Presley's TCB necklace. It is insane to think if you get to a certain point as an artist, musician, everything you do, even if it's blatantly ripping off something else, people just think you're a fuck you're brilliant.
