I Can't Love That Person Again
Her childhood is tough. And yet she writes about it with a lot of love. Her mom and dad are so clearly her figureheads for her later relationships, which is difficult because her dad is really violent and abusive. They grew up pretty poor living in Vancouver Island in Canada. She says she becomes an animal activist at six or seven and saves a litter of kitties. But her dad drowns the litter of kittens in front of her. This is, that's a person I can't ever relate to again.
