Indoor House Plants - What's a Monstera?
i had to learn all this vocab from exposure and practise it in order to then be able to confidently have a conversation using these phrases. And i am a native speaker, right? But this area of english i had never used before. I had never really delved into the world of botany and plants, and indoor house plants ever beforeand so i had to suddenly learn it. It is really interesting that originally i would have had zero confidence having a conversation about this sort of stuff at the beginning,. but now that i've learnt all about it and everything, and it's become an island for me.
