The Book of Mormon Is a Prophecy That Joseph Smith Will Be a Seer
The Book of Mormon is basically making a prophecy that Joseph, son of Joseph, will be a seer that will translate the Book of Mormon. And this prophesied Joseph saying, Behold, that seer will the Lord bless, and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded. I'm just surprised that he would well there's a lot of hubris in this decision, but I'm also surprised that in his mind he was thinking, wow, this is really going to bolster people's faith.
