How to Predict a Week Out When You Need the Recovery

I try to schedule the training cycles so that we're getting those recovery weeks before the wheels fall off. There are game day adjustments on occasion though because David is so meticulous about following the workouts and about the recovery between the workouts. I don't think there are any typical weeks, it depends on obviously on the race. When I was running across the training for Manus flu, I was in Spain running across the Camino. And that was 800 kilometers -- more than 880 kilometers over the whole, whole Camino.
