The Importance of Innovation in Business
When we were in Amex, we had an opportunity to build a grassroot business for the largest conglomerate, which is Kisham Mani's Reliance Industries. We used to sell more than 100,000 or one lakh policies from 5,600 grocery stores called Reliance Fresh. The simple insight is that two wheelers only get insured when they move out of the dealership. And after that nobody cares to insure them because those are up pick-up premiums.
