The Origins of Geopolitical Economy
Ben Cohen: The origins of my 2013 book, Geopolitical Economy, actually lies in my work in the previous couple of decades because I became a young academic. He started out his academic career in the early 1990s and just around that time, the discourse of globalization was just getting going. So, it always been a skeptic and I thought I would basically try to write a book that showed how the discourse of privatization was not really a academic theory, but an ideology issued in many important ways from US state sources.
