Inflation Hits the Least Well Off Hardest
Interest rates have gone up to one point seven five %, which is the biggest rise for well, certainly a generation. The bank office is trying to deal with a whole load of different issues at the moment - including massive inflation that we're seeing. Lots of people say they haven't moved quick enough and these kind of increases in interest rates should have happened months ago. But the banker's saying, listen, we're doing all we can now to try and make sure that the economy doesn't overheat.
