As a caviat, i am a language teacher. I speak six languages. But my knowledge of linguistics and second language acquisition research, until very recently, was quite basic. And thanks to all those authors and people who produce videos, like doctor florenc henshaw, i can learn a lot more about it too. Some researchers think that this explicit and implicit knowledge are ately separate and different,. There's others who kind of think that they are a little bit linked. It is much more complex than other subjects such as biology or geography. So do not sign up to learning, just practice makes perfect.
