What Is Good, Is Worth Preserving?
If we are able to determine that something is good, that can turn into almost a kind of mandate about what ought to be done. If i truly hold to principles of charity and hospitality, i really need to deal with that situation as one that carries moral force. That doesn't necessarily settle exactly how i'm going to handle it, but does mean that it gets handled in a particular way.
