The Importance of Remembering

John Piper: God has said of profound, intimate moments with him that I've forgotten. We go to the Tetons every year as a family and it's like suddenly I'm back realizing I had forgotten. In Deuteronomy chapter four, verse nine, God is speaking through Moses about forgetfulness. He says only be careful and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart.
