The Abolition of Man, a Guide and a Commentary
The abolition of man is both a guide and a commentary to abolistion oman. The book isn't really an apology, a defence for christianity - it's not even really a religious book at all. It's deliberately just trying to establish a philosophical base line for what it means to be human. He says that the only possible basis for christian apologetics is a proper respect for paganism. And so lewis can say we will have to set about becoming true pagans as a preliminary to becoming christians.
