TypeScript: A Rich Set of Tools
VS Code is written in TypeScript. The language has improved so much over the years, that it's provided us with an incredibly rich set of tools to build on. So many features of products use that. If we want to know whether to allow dragging into a component, we have to look at its API and see if it accepts just its children. Pretty much everywhere in the product need to read these specific APIs of types to use them.
