Polyamory or Multiple Marriages?

I think polyamory works for a very small subset of people. For many people it blows up their lives. I don't think that multiple marriages are going to be encoded in law not anytime soon. It still seems to me that poly or nominogmy whatever is more criticized and threatening and maligned than almost any other sexual subculture.
