How Do You Decide What You Want to Do in Your Postdoc Lab?
When you come out of a postdoc, it's important to find an interesting and original question to tackle. I had one project that I took with me from my postdoc lab looking at molecular mechanisms that controls internal migration in the cortex. And then, so when I started my own group, we tackled essentially two questions. We continued to work on basic problems of axon guidance, trying to understand how connectivity is set up between the thalamus and the cortex.
