The Importance of Scribes in Ancient Cultures

The role of the scribe in ancient cultures is vastly important. Documents, like we say, they become so important for all the various functions that are going on within a given culture or empire. And if we were to day to destroy all copy making machines, in some manner of butlery and jehad out of frank herbert doone, then the scribe would be our mentat a human machine for the creation of copies and duplications.
