Why Do People Have Such Strong Opinions About Economic Issues?
Many people have strong opinions or ideas when it comes to economics, even having no formal training. Why do they have such strong opinions? One is connected just sort of with our general political tribalism. And if you strongly identify yourself with a political team, then the strength of that is going to transfer to the economic views too. But I also think there's another aspect, and this is maybe a little bit more speculative: Economics seems like it should be pretty straightforward.
