Is It a Good Choice to Defend a Beloved Character in the Original Series?
Sylvia Plath: I found myself nodding along with the pieces that have said, you know, this is miranda taking a turn that she wouldn't have in in in the original show. But i don't think there was anything in the original text that pointed to miranda being like, genuinely strong on matters of social justice and consciousness. To me, the choices they made with charlotte feel totally indefensible. It's not that they got her characters evolution wrong so much. Its just that the way they handle the sort of stuff that is happening to charlotte has been really gross and weird.
