The Impact of Novel Approaches to CDR on Demand Reduction

There's a scenario where we don't need novel approaches to CDR really at any meaningful scale. That would basically more than triple or almost triple the conventional CDR that we currently have in place. But on the other hand, we do need five gigatons of conventional CDR. And so that means if we don't change the technologies that we're using, like the types of trees, that’s something like doubling or more the amount of land that we use for carbon dioxide removal. So there are these inter linkages between how we do the emissions and how weDo the CDR that are related to each other.
