The Acute Effects of Physical Abuse

Dr. Gary Bell: Physical abuse can be very acute and very far reaching. He says the long term of effect can be a drastic like post-traumatic stress disorder. People that are physically abused feel that they have a diminished sense of the ability to survive so why live? If I can get beat up by my parent what's life going to teach me? It's nowhere it's going to be safe.
