The Power of a Simple Idea
The novel is about a woman who wakes up in the morning and finds out she has amnesia. She'll remember things during the day, but when she goes to sleep, she loses everything. Part of the reason that I never even considered writing about someone who lost their hearing was because it was too close to my day job. The simple idea is often more powerful in a novel than a complex idea.
