Is PAC Really Helpful for Pulmonary Artery Hypertension?

The PAC probably belongs in the Museum of medical antiquities. The biggest problem and why they've really fallen out of favors isn't so much the technical problems with the catheter so much as the interpretation of the numbers. For me I will say that being said, in some very complex patients, primarily pulmonary artery hypertension, where you're trying to figure out if it's a right sided problem versus a left sided problem then I think that's that's much more helpful. It is a very nice sort of quick and easy tool to use in the ICU.
