The Importance of a Green Padlock on Your Website

Back in the early 2000s, we would tell people when you're going to a website to do any kind of shopping, make sure that the little green padlock is on. And then the padlock went through the user interface evolution to become the big green thing you see up top. You don't have to go hunting for it. It's right there next to the URL. But basically, the padlock means that it's very unlikely. That some third party is eavesdropping or changing the data in transit.
