The History of Cyberpunk

The future of our economy is not just global, but very specifically Japan. I don't think kids today realize how deeply we thought Japan itself was the future of world power and technology back when you were in elementary school. You look at the cyberpunk stuff that was there when things like Blade Runner were being created; it's bubblegum crisis and Ghost in the Shell and these kind of very Japanese things. Like even Metal Gear seems to edge once in a while toward cyberpunk sort of themes and stuff like that. Well, and a lot of the really exciting science fiction back then, whether it was cyberpunk or not, Robotech and things like that. So he can totally understand why
