The Retina Is a Complex Piece of Tissue

We have three types of cones in the retina. A one is sensitive to short wave lengths light. Sometimes people call them blue cones. And they all have different kinds of obsints in their photorceptors that make them sensitive to slightly different ranges of light. So from the three r g b values of a square that you put on your screen when you're making a power point slide, you can generate almost any color. In fact, you can generated 16 million colors from those three different varying values of r g b.
