CHAPTER

The Future of Digital Ethics

We individually don't have much to go on because we've got very short experience of digital life so far and it's different every year. I think that problem suggests that much of the ethical burden lies on the shoulders of companies and policymakers. The job of journalists here has been crucial. Investigative journalism has been incredibly important for us to learn about what is happening inside companies but also the job of whistleblowers. Without whistleblowers and investigative journalists, we would know half as much as we do about the problems with AI.
