The Periness Position on Expertise

The periness say that experts themselves cannot judge their own level of expertise and you disagreed I actually strongly agree but that may be because I am still recovering from my academic decades right. It's extremely difficult as an expert in a field to think about your relative status of understanding that field without falling into deeply held biases which are almost necessary to go forward in any one field. You disagree more with the general principle like I would be open to the idea that yeah actually experts are bad judges of themselves as experts and critically they're also bad judges of other experts.
