A cigarette found at the crime scene contained a weak DNA profile of a woman that wasn't Janelle. More of this DNA profile was found underneath Janelle's fingernails. A friend of Janelle's, Tracy Wilkinson, approached Bob Pouders. The last time she had spoken to Janelle was a week or two before her murder. When asked why she didn't bring up any of this information before, Tracy explained she thought the murder hadn't happened near the hotel. She also gave an incredible story about seeing Alicia McNeil with what appeared to be blood on her sweatshirt.
