The Reality of Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene is often taken to mean that she's a prostitute, but the text actually doesn't say that. The woman caught in adultery is not originally in the New Testament. And Mary Magdalene, there's nothing that connects her with any sexual sins at all. But once the pope associated Mary with these others, then she came to be thought of as a prostitute. That's the tradition and it's been handed down till today.
