Last year, railroad workers in the United States were on the cusp of a strike. Workers were demanding more sick leave to combat the effects of precision-scheduled railroading. Joe Biden and the US Congress blocked rail workers' right to strike by rapidly passing legislation that force workers to accept an agreement without sick days. The main railroad companies raked in more than $7 billion in profits and paid out over $1.8 billion in dividends.
