The Utopia of Critical Theory

Liberalism is particularly susceptible to it, because liberalism takes everything every argument as charitably as possible. It can't conceive of the idea that legitimately psychopathic people are creating pseudo-real descriptions just to manipulate people in order to gain their own power. I mean that quite literally, you can read Max Horkeheimer, his essay, traditional and critical theory, written in 1937. He's one of the cornerstone guys of the Frankfurt School. They were vicious critics of Marx. You can say, oh, they were against Marxism. This is a fun little trick.
