The Fall of a Revolver in a Flight Crash
The revolver was recovered from the crash site along with six spent rounds and it was sent to the FBI lab for analysis. They were able to lift a print from that finger fragment that was still stuck in the revolver's trigger guard. And that's how they were identified Burke as the person who was holding the weapon when the plane crashed.
