The Stress Strain Curve for FRP
Frida Ghitis: I think everyone was really familiar with the stress strain curve, let's say for steel and that drives into ductility. What does that look like for FRP? She says it doesn't have a yield. Being that it's a resin material with glass fibers, those glass fibers are a brittle substance. Once you reach the material rupture, it ruptures. There is no plateau, there's no strain hardening, it's more or less linear elastic to rupture.
