The Major Changes in Dungeons and Dragons
The hit die determines your weapon damage. There is no more variable weapon damage like in every other edition of Dungeons and Dragons, right? Where a two-handed sword is a D10, a longsword does the D8. If you have a D8, which is our knight, our fighter and our hunter, that is the damage die that you do in combat with any weapon. It doesn't matter what it is. And if you are a magic user, you use a D4 because that is your hit die. So if you're hitting with a staff or you're hits with a dagger or a dart, whatever, it's the D4 for damage. Now, the upside
