The Slope Learning Curve

There's a real poverty involved in saying no to a particular machine to get the job done. You hurt yourself more on some level and you work harder to get it done. It just seems like there's more of a sacrifice to move from one to the other than I think sometimes people are willing to admit. The first steep learning curve is to realize that if you really want to disengage from the capitalist industrial system, you have to get rid of the image of the cabin in the woods with Laura Ingalls Wilder.
