All of our Vietnamese recipes came from these bootleg cookbooks that Vietnamese people brought over from Vietnam. I didn't know what Rosemary tasted like until I was in college, but I had read about it. My parents were really curious about Western food and French food. So we got a copy of Julia Childs Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Because it was a way for me to learn about America, about flavors, and about ingredients.
