There's a thing called the Law and Gospel Distinction. This is what White Horse In, modern Reformation was founded on 30 years ago. Martin Luther says this, for the whole of the scriptures and whole of theology depends upon the true understanding of the law and the gospel. We've got to learn to let the text speak for itself and allow it to do what it's trying to do.
