Don't Ask for Forgiveness When You Sinne

Southern Evangelical Seminary's Dr. Stephen Wellam says sin is like being disinherited by your parents or God. If we ask for forgiveness because we have been saved, why bother confessing? We're in the family and not cast out of the covenant as a result of our sinful actions. Our asking for forgiveness is not a readjustification, but it's the application of what Christ has done for us.
