I find very few labs are willing to gram stain a urine specimen or to do the hemocytometer. The only thing we're really looking at in the urine analysis is whether there is a positive elite. If you see them on the urine analysis without a gram stain I think the people in the lab in which I last worked saw that every specimen certainly have a recorded specimen and we learned to ignore it.
